Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, unvieled the companies new netbook computer last week… well he couldn’t exactly call it a netbook, because he basically said netbooks are junk when he unveiled the iPad last spring, but let’s look at the stats here (I’ll use my HP mini as a comparison).

| 11″ Macbook Air | HP Mini | |
| Screen Size | 11″ | 10″ |
| Processor Speed | 1.4 gig intel core 2 | 1.6 gig intel atom |
| Ram | 2gig | 1gig |
| Hard Drive | 64 gig Flash Memory | 160 gig Hard Drive |
| Price | $999 | $299 |
Neither computer has an optical drive. Both have built-in cameras and full size keyboards. The primary difference seems to be the aluminum unibody enclosure of the Macbook Air.
So here’s what I would like to know…. Does Apple have the right to charge this much for a device with so few features? Does Steve Jobs owe netbook manufacturers an apology? and lastly… Will non-apple-fanboys buy this device?
In other news, Steve Jobs also announced that the new version of their OS X operating system will include a new feature called “full screen apps”. Some apps will have a button in the top-left corner of windows that will allow users to make the app full-screen with the touch of a button.
Don’t take me for a fool Steve Jobs. Just tell us you stole this feature from Windows.
